Claude Roussel, French 0.950 (higher purity than sterling) silver 37-piece flatware set, from the late 19th century, beautifully adorned with stylized floral motifs, consisting of:

- 12 dinner knives measuring 9 1/2'' in length

- 12 luncheon knives measuring 7 1/2'' in length

- 12 dessert knives measuring 8 1/4'' in length
- 1 bone holder measuring 8 1/2'' in length

Claude Doutre Roussel was a French silversmith active since 1885 in Paris. He was active at 118 rue Vieille du Temple in the historic Marais district of Paris. He was part of a notable silversmithing dynasty. The founder of the Roussel Doutre family of silversmiths was Eugène Roussel Doutre, who registered his mark in March 1849 — a dynasty that lasted until 1969.
