William Pugh, English Georgian sterling silver snuff box, made in Birmingham in 1816, gilt inside, with engraved motifs. It measures 2 3/4'' in depth by 1 7/8'' in width by 3/4'' in height, weighs 2.3 troy ounces, and bears hallmarks as shown.

William Pugh was a British silversmith active in the early 19th century in Birmingham. According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which owns a vinaigrette by William Pugh, "[he] was a prolific maker of small wares, including caddy spoons, snuff boxes and cutlery."
